The Association received a response from the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Law Enforcement

Currently, the Association is working on spreading its activities by creating and launching a website. Further informing the members of the Association will be carried out by e-mail. All those who wish to join the Association or continue to pay membership fees (remuneration for using technical conditions for crushed stone) should send a corresponding message to the Association’s email address (avnbmu@ukr.net) indicating their email address for receiving information

As previously reported (see Bulletins of the Association dated February 19 and March 19, 2024), the Association appealed to two specialized committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a request to initiate the issue of an amendment to Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a differentiated approach to the qualification of an offense in view of its consequences in the case of illegal extraction of minerals of national importance, as provided for in the Note to this article on minerals of local importance.

For the response of the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management – see Bulletin of the Association dated March 19, 2024.

In its response, the Committee on Law Enforcement Activity noted that the Association’s proposals “were taken into account and informed of the People’s Deputies of Ukraine – members of the Committee, who, as subjects of the law of legislative initiative, will decide on their consideration in the legislative activity.”
