On 15-17 October 2024, the VIII International Specialised Mining Industry Exhibition ‘Mining & Minerals Expo’ was held at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition was held as part of the XXI International Energy Business Forum 5E (energy, electrical engineering, energy efficiency, environment, energy resources).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening ceremony was attended by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine O.V. Lytvynenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities A.M. Gerus, and Chairman of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities Y.M. Vlasenko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mining industry exhibition was attended by companies that produce rollers and roller bearings for belt conveyors, metal products for various industries, workwear and footwear and personal protective equipment, metal-polymer materials for repair and restoration work in production, elastomeric materials and rubber products, carbon-containing materials and various grades of graphite, control and measuring equipment, and the development of integrated software solutions for the mining industry based on geoinformation systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, there was not a single industrial enterprise that was directly involved in the production of products from non-metallic minerals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And while the absence of crushed stone enterprises can be explained by the fact that their products are mostly invisible to the average citizen in practical use (crushed stone is under a layer of asphalt or in concrete mortar), the absence of enterprises producing decorative and facing products (facing plates, various architectural and construction products, paving stones and road checkers, etc.) leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So these are the realities of today\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
