As previously reported (see the information in the \u201cNews\u201d section dated 29 December 2025), the Association addressed the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine (the Ministry of Economy) with a request to resolve the issue of the urgent repeal of the orders of the State Enterprise \u201cUkrainian Scientific, Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality\u201d (SE \u201cUkrNDNC\u201d) dated 29 August 2025 Nos. 163\u2013272 and 275\u2013308 \u201cOn the Repeal of National Standards\u201d, and to consider the repeal of these national standards only after the termination of martial law in Ukraine and subject to the development of new standards to replace them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to this request, the Association received a letter from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine dated 23 January 2026 No. 3411-09\/7541-08, which, inter alia, states the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn 12 January 2026, the Ministry of Economy held a meeting to discuss the issue of postponing the date of repeal of national standards in the fields of railway engineering, light industry, road construction, as well as national standards not adopted on the basis of European standards concerning requirements for crushed stone (hereinafter \u2013 the meeting).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, central executive authorities, enterprises, associations, and employers\u2019 organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the meeting, the following decisions were adopted:
\u2013 to generally recognize the expediency of postponing the date of repeal of national standards applied for the purposes of the security and defence sector in the fields of railway engineering, light industry, road construction, as well as national standards not adopted on the basis of European standards concerning requirements for crushed stone;
\u2013 to establish, under SE \u2018UkrNDNC\u2019, a working group with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Defence, the Recovery Agency, SE \u2018UkrNDNC\u2019, the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, JSC \u2018Ukrzaliznytsia\u2019, and other interested stakeholders, for the purpose of addressing the issue of postponing the date of repeal of national standards applied for the purposes of the security and defence sector in the fields of railway engineering, light industry, road construction, as well as national standards not adopted on the basis of European standards concerning requirements for crushed stone;
\u2013 within the framework of the working group, to determine an exhaustive list of national standards for which it is necessary to postpone the repeal date, with priority given to standards applied for the purposes of the security and defence sector (based on proposals of the Ministry of Defence);
\u2013 within the framework of the working group, to determine the final deadlines for the repeal of national standards.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
