On 14 July 2026, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to accept the resignation of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, following the submission of her resignation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voting results were as follows: 258 votes in favor<\/strong>, 1 against<\/strong>, 5 abstentions<\/strong>, and 47 members did not vote<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yuliia Svyrydenko was the 19th Prime Minister of Ukraine<\/strong> and only the second woman in Ukraine’s history<\/strong> to hold this office, after Yuliia Tymoshenko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On 14 July 2025, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in accordance with Article 114 of the Constitution of Ukraine, nominated Yuliia Svyrydenko for the position of Prime Minister. Three days later, on 17 July 2025, the Verkhovna Rada approved her appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a result, Ms. Svyrydenko fell just three days short of completing her first year in office<\/strong> as Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under Article 115 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the resignation of the Prime Minister automatically results in the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers.
