The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Establishes Government Committees and Approves Their Membership

By Resolution No. 917 dated July 30, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established the following government committees:

• Government Committee on Digital Transformation, Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development, Healthcare, Youth and Sports, Veterans’ Affairs, National Security and Defense, Social and Industrial Policy, National Unity, Gambling and Lotteries
  (Chair: First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation; Deputy Chair: Minister of Defense)
• Government Committee on Ukraine’s Recovery, Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, Fuel and Energy Sector, Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Culture and Information Policy
  (Chair: Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Recovery – Minister for Communities and Territories Development; Deputy Chair: Minister of Energy)
• Government Committee on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, International Cooperation, Law Enforcement and Legal Policy
  (Chair: Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine; Deputy Chair: Minister of Justice)
• Government Committee on Economic, Financial, Agricultural, Investment and Sanctions Policy, Coordination of Humanitarian Demining, Entrepreneurship Development, Effective Management of State Property, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources
  (Chair: Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture; Deputy Chair: Minister of Finance)

From the Association: A government committee is a working collegial body of the Cabinet of Ministers established to ensure the effective implementation of the Cabinet’s powers and coordination of executive authorities. It aims to develop a unified position on draft legal acts, program documents of the Cabinet, planning materials, and other documents submitted for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The structure, activities, and procedures of government committees are regulated by Chapter 31, “Government Committees,” of the Rules of Procedure of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, approved by Resolution No. 950 dated July 18, 2007 (as amended by Resolution No. 1156 dated November 9, 2011).
