The war for some and pension increase for others
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine, upon the submission of 56 MPs, opened constitutional proceedings on the compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine (constitutionality) of the provisions of part twelve of Article 20 of the Law of Ukraine No. 2790-XII ‘On the Status of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine’ dated 17 November 1992 and the third paragraph of item 14 of Section I of the Law of Ukraine No. 2148-VІІІ ‘On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Increasing Pensions’ dated 3 October 2017 (regarding guarantees of labour rights of the People’s Deputies of Ukraine).
The MPs who signed the respective constitutional petition on 43 pages (and this is without the appendix with signatures) represented:

- – The faction of political party ‘All-Ukrainian Union ‘Batkivshchyna’ – 12

- – MPs not belonging to any faction or group – 2
