The State Regulatory Service of Ukraine:

1. By its Decision No. 438 dated 08 November 2024, it did not approve the Draft Law ‘On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Deregulation of Economic Activity’ developed by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (see information in the News section for 06 November 2024).

The reason for this decision was that the proposed amendments violate the principles of state regulatory policy, as the Regulatory Impact Analysis to the draft Law provided by the developer does not meet the requirements of the Methodology for Analysing the Impact of a Regulatory Act, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 308 dated 11 March 2004, and is prepared on a formal and declarative basis, without all the necessary information provided for by this Methodology.

2. By its Decision No. 439 dated 11 November 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Draft Law of Ukraine ‘On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on Environmental Taxes Levied for Waste Disposal and Disposal of Waste from the Extractive Industry’, revised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine (see information in the News section for 06 November 2024).
