IN THE CENTRAL LEGISLATIVE AND EXECUTIVE BODIES

● According to the Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Budget, R. Pidlasa, at least 1,500-2,000 amendments are expected to the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2025.

The first reading of the draft law is scheduled for the end of October, while the second reading and the full vote are expected to take place in late November.

● On 4 October 2024, the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine presented a Pilot Project for the Training and Employment of Truck Drivers, which creates new prospects for the professional realisation of Ukrainian women in the transport industry. The project is being implemented by the NGO Institutional Development Foundation with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Programme.

This event, which covers four regions – Kyiv, Rivne, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky – provides not only for obtaining a driver’s licence of category C and CE, but also for further employment of women who have successfully completed the training. The best female participants will also be able to undergo additional training in line with European standards and receive an international commercial vehicle driver qualification card.

During the selection process, more than 1,000 women and 25 transport companies expressed their desire to join the project.

● The State Regulatory Service of Ukraine is reviewing redundant or burdensome reporting forms for entrepreneurs in pursuance of the State Anti-Corruption Programme for 2023-2025.
