In the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

1. Meeting of the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure

On 11 February 2026, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Transport and Infrastructure took place (the Minutes and the Transcript of the meeting were published only last week, rather than on 16 February as indicated on the Committee’s official website).

First item on the agenda – On hearing the report of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine for 2025.

Presented by: Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine O.V. Kuleba.

Decision adopted following the discussion: the information was taken into consideration.

Second item on the agenda – On the work plans of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine for 2026.

The item was postponed.

Third item on the agenda – On the expediency of dividing the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and establishing a separate central executive authority for transport and infrastructure.

The item was postponed.

Fourth item on the agenda – On approval of the schedule of meetings of the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure for February 2026.

It was decided to hold a meeting on 25 February 2026 with the following noteworthy agenda:

Regarding the critical condition of public roads of national and local importance:

• the actual condition of road surfaces, in particular on all roads of national importance;
• the causes of the emergency condition of roads (destruction of road surfaces after the winter period);
• the quality of completed works and compliance with warranty obligations by contractors;
• existing plans and financing for current or capital repairs for each road separately;
• responsible executors and timeframes for the works.

2. Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management

At its meeting on 4 March 2026, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management is scheduled to consider the draft Labour Code of Ukraine (Reg. No. 14386 dated 15 January 2026), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
