On the Meeting of the Relevant Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

On February 25, 2026, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Transport and Infrastructure took place, during which the issue of the critical condition of public roads of national and local importance was considered, in particular:

• – the condition of road surfaces, including on all roads of national importance;
• – the causes of the emergency condition of roads;
• – the quality of completed works and compliance with warranty obligations by contractors;
• – existing plans and financing for current or major repairs for each road separately;
• – responsible contractors and timelines for the execution of works.

Invited participants were also asked questions regarding the operation of the Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) system for vehicles.

The meeting was attended by:

• – O. Pishchanska, Chair of the Accounting Chamber;
• – A. Rybchenko, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine;
• – S. Sukhomlyn, Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine;
• – M. Lagunin, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety;
• – representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Accounting Chamber, and the State Audit Service of Ukraine.
