In the Legislative and Executive Authorities

On March 10, 2025, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure held a meeting to consider matters related to the operations of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, specifically:

– the company’s plans to increase railway freight tariffs and the potential consequences of such a decision, particularly for related enterprises and sectors of the economy;

– the grounds and justification for the calculation and formation of freight tariffs (depending on cargo type) and passenger transportation tariffs (including suburban transport);

– plans for improving the company’s financial performance indicators;

– eliminating opportunities for abuse in the sale and purchase of passenger train tickets, especially for high-demand international routes.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine A.V. Kashuba and Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” O.S. Pertsovskyi.

The Association will report on the decisions made at this meeting as soon as relevant information becomes available.

● By Order No. 192-r dated March 7, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed
S.S. Dekhtyarenko from the position of Deputy Head of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization, at his own request.
