The Association invites to join its membership

As previously reported, on 9 July 2024, a meeting was held in Kyiv between the heads of Technobud Group LLC and the Association of Aggregates Producers of Ukraine and the management of the Aggregates Europe – UEPG represented by President Antonis Antoniou LATOUROS and Secretary General Dirk FINCKE.
1. The parties agreed on closer cooperation and involvement, exchange of relevant information, as Ukraine’s further integration into the EU also requires the introduction of European regulations and standards for Ukrainian producers of non-metallic construction materials.
This is related to the following:

1. The Constitution of Ukraine (preamble and Articles 85, 102 and 116) enshrines the state’s course towards full EU membership.
2. On 23 June 2022, at a summit in Brussels, the European Council decided to grant Ukraine the official status of an EU candidate.
3. The Parliament of Ukraine adopted the Law ‘On the National Programme for the Adaptation of Ukrainian Legislation to the EU Law’.
4. When drafting and adopting regulatory acts in Ukraine, the relevant requirements of European legislation are taken into account (for example, the Law of Ukraine ‘On Waste Management’, which is related to Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008, as well as the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on the Implementation of the Provisions of the EU Law on Excise Tax’ adopted on 18 July 2024).

Therefore, the issue of approximation of Ukrainian legislation with the modern European legislative system is quite relevant, as it will be a prerequisite for amending or supplementing Ukrainian legislation at all stages of the economic activity of aggregates producers.
In general, the Association believes that its more effective activities in any matter are possible only with the support and assistance of as many companies producing aggregates as possible.
Without demanding any special preferences for itself, the Association invites aggregates enterprises that share the common interests of the aggregates industry, are interested in relations with European enterprises and are willing to reform the current legislation of Ukraine to improve the performance of their business activities.
