The Association Received a Response from the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine

As previously reported (see the “News” section dated May 16, 2025), the Association submitted an official request to the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine (Derzhgeonadra) seeking to address the issue of publishing on its official website a list of special subsoil use permits issued prior to Q2 2015, where the permit holders extracted less than 1% of the balance mineral reserves (the so-called “dormant” subsoil use permits).

In response to this request, the Association received a letter stating that Derzhgeonadra publishes information on its official website in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information” and Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 835 dated October 21, 2015, “On Approval of the Regulation on Data Sets to Be Made Public in the Form of Open Data”.

Therefore, no resolution of the aforementioned issue is to be expected from Derzhgeonadra.
