In the legislative and executive authorities

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, at its plenary session on April 28, 2026, adopted as a basis the draft Civil Code of Ukraine (reg. No. 15150 dated April 9, 2026), taking into account the proposals of the Committee on Legal Policy, with further revision of provisions in accordance with Part 1 of Article 116 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and with an extension of the срок for preparation for the second reading.

On the eve, April 27, 2026, the Committee on Legal Policy, which had been designated as the lead committee for reviewing this draft law, at its meeting recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine remove from consideration the draft Civil Code of Ukraine (Code of Private Law) (reg. No. 14394 dated January 22, 2026), submitted by Members of Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk, Oleksandr Korniienko, Mykola Stefanchuk and others (for more details on this draft law, see the “News” section dated January 26, 2026).

The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine has developed a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Regulation on the State Service of Ukraine on Labour.”

The purpose of adopting this draft resolution is to bring the Regulation on the State Service of Ukraine on Labour, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 96 dated February 11, 2015, into compliance with higher-ranking legal acts and to harmonize it with acts of equal legal force, including those adopted later, in particular with regard to clarifying the powers of the State Labour Service, namely the Laws of Ukraine:

  1. “On Compulsory State Social Insurance”;
  2. “On High-Risk Facilities”;
  3. “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving Legislation in the Field of Subsoil Use,” which introduced amendments to the Subsoil Code of Ukraine and the Mining Law of Ukraine;
  4. “On Production Sharing Agreements,” and many others.
