Please Note: National Standards for Crushed Stone, Gravel and Natural Sand Have Been Partially and Temporarily Reinstated

The Ukrainian Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality (SE “UkrNDNC”), which performs the functions of Ukraine’s National Standardization Body in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1163-r of 26 November 2014, has reinstated the validity of 36 national standards by Order No. 147 of 24 June 2026.

The reinstatement applies from 1 July 2026 until 25 November 2027 and is limited exclusively to the production and/or supply of products under contracts with state customers for construction projects.

Among the reinstated national standards are:

• DSTU B V.2.7-32-95 – Dense Natural Sand for Building Materials, Products, Structures and Construction Works. Specifications;
• DSTU B V.2.7-71-98 (GOST 8269.0-97) – Crushed Stone and Gravel from Dense Rocks and Industrial By-products for Construction Works. Physical and Mechanical Test Methods;
• DSTU B V.2.7-72-98 (GOST 8269.1-97) – Crushed Stone and Gravel from Dense Rocks and Industrial By-products for Construction Works. Chemical Analysis Methods;
• DSTU B V.2.7-75-98 – Dense Natural Crushed Stone and Gravel for Building Materials, Products, Structures and Construction Works. Specifications.

Based on the wording of Clauses 2 and 3 of the Order, its application is limited to the construction, repair and maintenance of public roads.

In addition, by Order No. 148 of 24 June 2026, entitled “On Ensuring and Promoting Cooperation in Standardization between Manufacturers, Suppliers, Consumers and Relevant State Authorities,” SE “UkrNDNC” approved the decision of the Roads and Transport Infrastructure Working Group to postpone the cancellation of national standards used in the construction, repair and maintenance of public roads.

The Order also permits the continued application of interstate standards (GOST standards issued before 1992) covered by paragraph 2 of Section VI (Final and Transitional Provisions) of the Law of Ukraine “On Standardization”, with the same limitation of application – only for the production and/or supply of products under contracts with state customers for construction projects, in accordance with the approved List of Interstate Standards (Pre-1992 GOST Standards).

The List includes 202 interstate standards, many of which relate to the Occupational Safety Standards System.
