The Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” has approved an increase in tariffs for freight transportation

The relevant proposals will be submitted to the Tariff Council under the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine for consideration.

“Ukrzaliznytsia reminds that in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1392 dated December 16, 2009 “On Ensuring Transparency of the State Tariff Policy for the Transportation of Goods by Rail within Ukraine”, tariffs for the transportation of goods by rail within Ukraine should be indexed annually.

However, this provision was not regularly implemented and the last tariff increase took place in the summer of 2022.

Despite a significant increase in the main resources consumed by Ukrzaliznytsia and an increase in the industrial producer price index, the railroad proposed to raise freight transportation tariffs by only 37%.
